I will also take your tip about labelling .. I'm a devil for leaving things in pots, telling myself I'll remember exactly what they are!

WillowWillowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00704065088967190856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1767946196802602293.post-81137039772569945052009-12-02T14:32:35.984+00:002009-12-02T14:32:35.984+00:00Now there's a challenge Willow! I have this delusion that I know what I am doing with my organic vegetable growing, but remain realistic enough to defer to Mrs Soggy on all thing decorative.
So, passing on her advice: "remove the corms from the soil, clean and dry them thoroughly and then store them in a dry frost-free place over winter."
I am fanatical about doing labels, so I would add, make a label now to store with them, and then you won't get mixed up in the spring and you have a label ready to go out with them.

Hope that helps.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1767946196802602293.post-11079875510546491462009-12-02T09:24:09.077+00:002009-12-02T09:24:09.077+00:00Heskie, I wonder if you can help me with a "n...Heskie, I wonder if you can help me with a "non-veg" query?

I have used begonias in my pots & hanging baskets this year and they have been fantastic ... not quite sure what to do with them over the winter though. Should I just leave them in the greenhouse in pots, or should I take the corms out and let them dry, like bulbs? Having never used them before, I wasn't quite sure!!

Thanks,

WillowWillowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00704065088967190856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1767946196802602293.post-63764582118867427252009-12-01T15:06:23.383+00:002009-12-01T15:06:23.383+00:00I'm glad you think so Willow, every time I go ...I'm glad you think so Willow, every time I go in there I see all the things I'd like to tidy up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1767946196802602293.post-4377625695705214452009-12-01T13:26:52.498+00:002009-12-01T13:26:52.498+00:00Gosh, your veg garden looks so tidy, even in the f...Gosh, your veg garden looks so tidy, even in the first frost of the winter!

Willow -Willowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00704065088967190856noreply@blogger.com
